Dr. Reggie Brothers
Dr. Reginald Brothers is the Chief Executive Officer of BigBear.ai. He was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Peraton, and served as a principal with The Chertoff Group.
Prior to that he held the role of Under Secretary for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where he was responsible for a science and technology portfolio that included basic and applied research, development, demonstration, testing and evaluation with the purpose of helping DHS operational elements and the nation’s first responders achieve their mission objectives.
From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Brothers served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research at the Department of Defense. In this position, he was responsible for policy and oversight of the Department’s science and technology programs and laboratories. He has also held senior roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, BAE Systems, Draper Laboratory and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory.
Dr. Brothers holds five patents, is a Distinguished Fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) and is member of the Visiting Committee for Sponsored Research at MIT.
Dr. Brothers received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
Sean Battle is the Vice Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer at BigBear.ai. Mr. Battle has 30 years of distinguished experience serving the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. In 2008, Mr. Battle co-founded PCI, a consulting firm focused on critical technical, operational and analytic initiatives, where he served as Chief Executive Officer for more than 12 years. Prior to that, Mr. Battle was a Civilian Executive with the National Security Agency where he oversaw the agency’s End User Computing Portfolio and developed and executed a technology modernization plan for all employees. Mr. Battle began his career as a Signals Analyst in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Battle received a B.S. in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University and a J.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Law.
Josh Kinley is the Chief Financial Officer at BigBear.ai. Mr. Kinley has more than 20 years of experience in the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense and more than 12 years as a Chief Financial Officer. He began his career with the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Officer, after which he served as an advisor and management consultant to senior Intelligence Community executives. Mr. Kinley co-founded PCI and also served as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he was the Senior Director of Acquisition Support at SI International.
Mr. Kinley received a B.S. in Life Sciences from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.B.A. from John Hopkins University with a focus on IT Management.
Brian Frutchey is the Chief Technology Officer at BigBear.ai. Mr. Frutchey has more than 25 years of experience architecting and implementing mission critical big data analytics solutions. This includes managing the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) In-Q-Tel Interface Center’s predictive analytics and cloud orchestration portfolios, the U.S. European Command’s (EUCOM) Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) Strategic Foresight and Open-Source Element capabilities and Endeca Technology’s Public Sector Division, as well as serving in the U.S. Army as a Signal Corps Officer. Prior to his role at BigBear.ai, Mr. Frutchey was an Executive Vice President at NuWave Solutions.
Mr. Frutchey received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Computers) from the University of Southern California.
Brian Levy is the Chief Product Officer at BigBear.ai. He has over 20 years of professional leadership and experience in building disruptive technology for commercial and federal markets, with experience in big data, machine learning, cloud computing, and software engineering.
Prior to joining BigBear.ai, Mr. Levy co-founded BigBear, Inc in April 2008. He served in multiple executive leadership positions including CEO through June 2016, and CTO through December 2020.
Prior to BigBear, Inc. Mr. Levy worked at Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) and Technology Associates International Corporation (TAIC) where he held technical leadership positions supporting key government, defense, and commercial customers. In September 2001, Mr. Levy volunteered to support the City of New York Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and received a letter of commemoration from the City of New York. Mr. Levy holds a Bachelor’s from the University of California Riverside with an emphasis in Computer Science.
Michael Buscher is the Chief Growth Officer at BigBear.ai. Prior joining BigBear.ai, Mr. Buscher held a variety of senior leadership roles in the private sector, including Chief Growth Officer at NuWave Solutions, Vice President at Peraton, Vice President & Director of the National Intelligence Center at Huntington Ingalls Industries, and Chief Executive Officer at Vanguard Defense Industries, which pioneered the use of unmanned technology for law enforcement and the commercial sector. He also has over 30 years of distinguished government service, including having served as an Officer in Army Special Operations Units as well as a Senior Operations Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency for nearly a decade.
Mr. Buscher invented the ShadowHawk™ Unmanned Aerial System and holds multiple patents in aerospace and unmanned technology.
Mr. Buscher received a B.A. in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Washington and a Graduate Diploma from the University of London.
André Hentz is the Chief Administrative Officer at BigBear.ai. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Operating Officer at NuWave Solutions where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the organization. Before this, Mr. Hentz served as Deputy Under Secretary (Acting) for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He also served as the Chief Scientist at S&T, as well as a Senior Leader and Science Advisor to the Under Secretary.
Prior to joining Science and Technology, Mr. Hentz served as Director of Mission Support at the Department of Defense’s Intelligence Systems Support Office (ISSO). While at ISSO, he also served as Senior Intelligence Officer, Intelligence Oversight Monitor, and Military Intelligence Program Functional Director, and Deputy Director of Mission Support, and Chief of Acquisitions.
Mr. Hentz received a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Maryland, University College.
Dr. Keith Conner
Dr. Keith Conner is the Chief Information and Data Officer for BigBear.ai, an analytics, cybersecurity, and engineering company providing decision dominance products to commercial companies and for national defense and intelligence communities. Prior to his current role, Keith was the Chief Technology Officer for at BigBear.ai and NuWave Solutions (one of four companies that combined to form BigBear.ai).
Prior to joining NuWave, Keith served as the Senior Director of Innovation for Peraton reporting to the CTO. Keith also served as a Senior Technical (ST) engineer for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate. Keith’s other industry experience includes serving as CTO for Technical Solutions LLC (a nationwide managed services and product solution company for commercial and government telecommunications operators) and in senior technical positions for Lucent Technologies Bell Labs Innovation and BAE Systems.
Keith has over twenty years of research, development, implementation, and integration experience including emerging small satellites, data analytics and machine learning, cybersecurity, enterprise architectures, mobile application development, information systems and technology, software and systems engineering, and wired and wireless communications networks. Keith has performed or led R&D in commercial, defense, homeland security, and academic settings.
Keith holds a Ph.D. and MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Clemson University and a BSEE with honors from Mississippi State University.
Ryan Legge is currently the President of the Analytics Sector at BigBear.ai. In this role he is responsible for managing all aspects of daily operations and Profit/Loss for the Sector. Mr. Legge has over 20 years of experience designing and leading Data and Advanced Analytics projects for the Intelligence and Department of Defense communities.
Prior to joining BigBear.ai, Mr. Legge served in a management role at KPMG in their Federal Business Performance Services Practice specializing in Business Intelligence, Program Management, and Performance Management. He was the lead Army account manager supporting the DoD partner in the development of the US Army account including key projects with Army G-3/5/7 and Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller (OUSD(C)).
Mr. Legge’s other defense experience includes senior operations positions at Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems. While at Northrop Grumman, he worked as an Operations Manager and Material Program Manager for projects such as the F/A-22 4th Generation Radar and the first Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar antenna for Australia’s Wedgetail airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system.
Mr. Legge holds a B.A. in Business Administration from McDaniel College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Information Systems Management from Johns Hopkins University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
Don Whitfield is the President of the Cyber and Engineering Sector at BigBear.ai Don is an accomplished leader, entrepreneur, and operational executive. Over his 20+ year career as a military officer and private sector executive, Don has built a reputation as an innovator and results focused strategic thought leader doing business collaboratively and ethically.
Prior to joining BigBear.ai, Don served as Chief Operating Officer of PCI, which he co-founded in 2008. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of PCI. He has been instrumental in creating and laying out the staffing and management processes and expectations that have led to sustained growth to a current 350 employees, operating in 14 states, including the buildout of a new training center outside of Hanscom AFB. With a global footprint, Don is constantly addressing corporate communications and employee development that is continually recognized through annual employee surveys.
Previously, he served as the Senior Director of IT Operations with SI International’s Intelligence Business Unit where he was responsible for the delivery of IT services to several Federal Agencies.
Don is a proud third-generation Veteran having served with distinction in the United States Army Corps of Engineers where he attained his Airborne and Ranger qualifications. Don is a graduate of Loyola University with a MBA and a graduate of The Citadel with a BS in Civil Engineering.
