NuWave Solutions Announces Partnership With Habitat for Humanity of Washington DC
MCLEAN, VA — NuWave’s $25,000 contribution to DC Habitat will be used during this critical time to support its Emergency Housing Stability Fund. This fund was set up to ensure the completion of the Randle Highlands project in Southeast DC, where NuWave employees have volunteered. NuWave is proud to help expedite completion of this project to provide a home to families to “shelter in place”. The fund will also work to provide housing counseling services to homeowners affected by the Covid19 crisis. NuWave employees will continue their support with an additional build day tentatively scheduled for September 2020.
Last November NuWave’s employees donated their time and talents to support DC Habitat’s Randle Highlands Townhomes construction. This was the second annual contribution to the build. Eric Crenshaw, one of the original volunteers stated, “It was exciting to see the progress made since last year. I feel invested in this community because we’re here, year after year, making a difference.” Ken Taborn and his daughter Jordan both participated. Ken said, “You can’t image doing this before you get here, afterwards you’re wondering why you haven’t done it sooner.”
“Partners like NuWave are instrumental to our work serving local families,” said Susanne Slater, President & CEO, DC Habitat. “NuWave is leading by example as one of the emergency fund’s first major contributors, and their commitment to our community through both their financial support and volunteer service is helping change lives.”
